Today's my 3 rd day on the Threelac powder. The instructions said to begin with 1 packet a day, wait and see how bad the die-off side effects are the next day, then increase if you can handle it. Well I didn't think a little 1/2 tsp of yellow powder could be that powerful so I took 2 packets the first day. OMG! What did I do? Yesterday evening at around hmmm 8pm, I broke out in hives, my ears and my face were red and burning up, and I got chills! I checked my temperature...uh, look at that...normal!
I tried to tough it out, but when the headache kicked in, I gave up and took an advil and a benadryl. I felt much better and went to sleep. Had a great night sleep too BTW. The first time in weeks. I took my morning dose of Threelac again this morning. I love it because unlike acidophilus tablets, you don't have to wait 30mins after meals or 2 hours after anti-biotics to take it. After pouring it in my water glass, I took time to look at the ingredients list. My god! I had no idea how many live probiotics 1 packet had. Over 225 billion! Each acidophilus tablet I was taking only had 10 billion, and wasn't coated for stomach acid protection either. What a difference a good quality probiotic makes. But at $89 CDN for a 1 month supply, I don't know if I'm committed yet. I know there's an even more powerful product called Fivelac and it's around $72.50 Us for a 2 month supply (because you can only take 1 packet a day). But if I order directly from the US, I'll have to pay shipping and duty charges. So that's why I don't mind paying more from my favourite canadian distributor because it ends up being faster and cheaper. They shipped the product out on wednesday evening, I got it at 9am on monday which is great when you really need to get your candida reduction protocol started ASAP. The only problem is they don't sell Fivelac.
