Why is it that large chain restaurants don't have nutritional information on their menus? Every single fast food place does. Even the small pita joints have all the details right on the wall so I can make an informed decision as to which meal fits best within the caloric protocol of my day.
But if I go to a large chain restaurant like B***** P**** they can't tell me how many grams of fat is in my jambalaya with garlic bread. Everyone should have the right to know what is in their food. Why did our government deny a bill that would make that happen? It's my body, I should have the right to know what goes into it. After watching CBC Marketplace's episode on large chain restaurants yesterday, I was totally repulsed by how stupid our companies....oh excuse me....sorry....associations and governments think we are. The fact is that we're still being treated like kids "here eat this" "why?" "because I told you to" "but what's in it?" "it's fine just eat it". Sound familiar?
Watch CBC Marketplace's video clip on large chain restaurants. It'll make you want to bring home cooked food with you wherever you go. That's what I do!

Restaurant food could be worse for me than fast food?
