Can a special diet help children with autism?

For those of you out there who think Playboy Models are brainless silicone bags, think again. Former Playboy Model Jenny McCarthy was on The Ellen Degeneres Show speaking about her new book today. She wrote a book called "Louder Than Words" about her struggles as a mother of an autistic son.

She mentioned how she had discovered that her son was feeling ill inside and this affected his ability to use some of his physical abilities. She said that once she put him on a no gluten/no dairy diet he began to do better. She got a little chocked up at the part where she told the audience that one day her son told her: "Do you remember when I was shy?" which showed that he was very aware. It's just that his body wasn't able to let his thoughts out the way others can.

After hearing that, I began believing what I had read on the connection between childhood autism and toxic imbalances in the body. Read "Doctors suspect autism linked to toxins"

That got me thinking, if a mixture of toxins (mercury, lead, cadmium, tin, chlorine, malachite green, aluminum, ammonia, titanium dioxide, melamine) which we are exposed to on a daily basis. Plus an vitamin absorption problem due to low acid/high bacteria environment. Can end up causing powerful diseases such as autism. Could it be the root cause of my high hypothyroidism, adrenal exhaustion, low testosterone/progesterone levels, low DHEA-S levels, low androstenedione levels, sinus infections, tinea versicolor, nausea, GERD, and IBS? Just yesterday Dr. Oz mentioned that research is showing that a vitamin D deficiency could be causing the sudden increase in hypothyroidism amongst adult women.

I don't have 100% proof yet because I haven't had blood work done since I've started taking the Threelac powder. But I do know that I didn't feel this good this quickly while trying to reduce my hydrocortisone dosage and taking mega doses of vitamins, supplements, and chelation.

For 2 weeks I've stopped eating wheat. It's been brown rice and quinoa for me. I drink rice or almond milk, don't touch soy very much either. I gave up fish unless it's from local fresh waters or from my father-in-law's fishing trips. You should of seen me when I was able to eat a nice piece of moose steak and I didn't have an "IBS Attack". For 2 years I thought I couldn't eat red meat anymore because I didn't have a gallbladder! It always triggered gas so bad I'd be in the fetal position screaming and crying for hours with a heating pad on my belly. Now no problem, bring it on!

All this and I'm back at the old/high dose of hydrocortisone I was always on. When I was told that being over-steroided was the root cause of all my sudden health problems!
